This plot is very clever. The twists and turns among the four main characters are surprising and very entertaining. Lauren is a vixen like no other. The only thing that seemed implausible was the judge’s behaviour. A thoroughly enjoyable read!

Readers' Favorite Five-Star Review of The Polyandrist
Reviewed by Viga Boland for Readers' Favorite
Lauren is drop-dead gorgeous. When she enters a room, she catches every eye…and she knows it. Her looks and sensuality are her weapons of choice when she wants what wealthy men can give her: a lavish lifestyle and money. Lauren is a polyandrist: a woman who beds several men at one time. Mason Malone, author of The Polyandrist, uses Lauren’s talents to weave a plot that has more twists and turns than I’ve read in one romantic mystery. The result: I couldn’t put this book down in my eagerness to see which of the three men in her life…Greg, Nolan and Gordon…would end up with this polyandrist.
What is also really interesting about Lauren is her ability to make the most of any setbacks to her plans and quickly use them to formulate a new plan. When rich heiress Erica Dupree offers Lauren a lucrative proposition to help her rid herself of her husband, Gordon, Lauren accepts. But with every turn of the page, something new develops. As the monetary stakes climb higher and higher, Lauren needs to keep all three men dangling. She cleverly manipulates each of them. One can’t help but feel sorry for Nolan, derision for Gordon, and disgust with Greg, but the heartless Lauren finds each useful in his own way. Does she get what she wants in the end? Does she end up with any of the three men? Reading The Polyandrist is the only way to find out: no spoilers here!
Mason Malone is a competent writer and his story-telling and plotting skills will impress most readers who seek an engrossing, fast-paced story not weighted down by more details than necessary. While the epilogue surprised me and I wasn’t sure I believed it, the possibility that Lauren’s manipulation of the “weaker sex” isn’t all that far-fetched either. Read The Polyandrist and decide for yourself. A good read!
